My deadline for the Profile was yesterday at Northwestern and UChicago. I am sending it tonight online. Will that be bad? Is there going to be a problem with that?

Your best bet is to contact someone at the universities and ask that same question of them. If there's a reason why you're running late -- preferably a good one -- let them know, and see if they can help you. From this point on stay in constant contact with that person. Better still, if you have had prior contact with some one there, talk with that person first and see what they can do.

This is good training for when you actually begin your college studies and you are you own bottom line. You have to learn to define your tasks and stay on top of deadlines, or else the consequence can be rather grim.

Good luck.

I didn't have the money to pay the fee online until today. I've had the thing done for a long time. I couldn't pay until tonight.

Bashful -

If that's the case, you should have let your schools know before you missed the deadline, not after...perhaps the fee could have been waived.

However, my original advice still stands, get on the phone and tell them exactly what you just told me in post #3. And tell them how much you're trying to do this on your own, or whatever, and how much you want to go to their school and really need their help.

Don't give up. Good luck. :)

The problem was that I had the money, I just phrased the above wrong. My mother is the only one with a credite card who can pay the fee online. We don't qualify for wavers, it was just the timing was off. I had to wait for my mother to have her account stable so I could charge the $41 .
