Ok so my dad hasn't filed his taxes yet and said he's gonna do it in the first week of May because the person we file through isn't available till then. My question is if I'm still gonna get financial aid or not? I applied to USC as a transfer and find out around beginning of June. I know I'm not gonna get some money because it's first come first serve but I just wanted to know if I'm still gonna get some atleast? I already filled out the fafsa with predictions early January but how long do I have to update it?
Thanks

Did you complete the financial aid applications and submit them to USC?

Yeah I filled out the fafsa and CSS profile application by using estimates. But how long do I have to update it?

Your issue is that any financial aid award you receive based on your estimates will be…an estimate. Your finalized award will be based on the actual numbers from your tax returns. And yes…if your income goes up, your aid can go down!

I’m ok with that but I just wanted to make sure that I’m still gonna be getting financial aid right? There’s no deadline that once you pass you won’t get it anymore

I would suggest you call the college and ask THEM this question.

You will get the guaranteed Stafford loan amounts. If the school sets deadlines for other awards it issues based on the FAFSA, only the school can tell you if it will still consider your awards if you miss those deadlines.
