my final transcript kept reading "incomplete" on my to do list,
so i contacted my counselor about it,
and she said that the school will final transcripts by next week.

i checked the deadline for the transcript- and the deadline is the 12th, which is the monday of next week.

idk what she meant- by next week as in by next sunday or by monday?

but anyways, would a late final transcript have any consequences?
because if it is late, it wouldn't be my fault at all.

I am in the same situation. My school sent my final transcript but since my counselor is off duty for the summer I can’t get my final report form completed. This is not in my control.

Don’t worry guys :D.

That being said, you should both email the admissions office ASAP describing your situations. Cornell’s admistrative “deadlines” regarding one or two small items is fairly lenient. If you’re reading the checklist online somewhere, it could be that the office has already recieved your transcript, but hasn’t gotten around to updating the checklist yet. (there is no magic scanner that can read through envelopes as soon as your transcript arrives in a giant pile of others at their office)

When admin staff say “by next week” they generally mean “by the end of next week”. nudge them gently lol.

In the future, if you find yourself in any odd admin/finaid situations, ASK THE APPROPRIATE OFFICE. email them, explain who you are (giving them your student number is useful) and then ask them what steps you should take to get back to normal. They’re very nice people, although sometimes unresponsive since there is often ALOT of people in the same situations.
