Late Letter of Recommendation?

Hi all, I am applying early to a school and today, Nov. 1st, is the deadline for applications. I have everything in, including my app and 3 letters of recs (1 counselor and 2 teacher)

BUT
I have 1 outside rec that is not going to be mailed until tomorrow or saturday. Is this bad? I have asked the writer to mail it by today, but he is extremely busy and cannot do it by the postmark deadline.
I really think this rec will be excellent, but I don't know if the late factor will be counted against me. Will the college look down on me?

shouldnt do as long as you have submitted your application, the rec. are the follow ups

no, i highly doubt they'll care at all. as long as YOUR parts are in. it won't be reflected badly on you if something out of your control isn't in. given, it should hopefully arrive in a few days. as long as it arrives before the first reader starts looking at apps (probably next week), you're fine. they understand teacher sometimes don't make deadlines and have things come up in their lives.

i had the same problem except with one of my actual teacher recs. i emailed one of the mit admissions officers and that's what he told me :)
