Late Materials= Late Application

Today, when I checked a school's (Milton) checklist from their online application, it said that they received my SSAT scores and my transcript 3 days after the Jan 15 deadline. I have gotten an email from every one of my schools, saying that my application is complete. However, Milton hasn't sent me an email yet. Is my application going to be considered a late application?

I doubt it-- but call the office (not today-- its a snow emergency day in Massachusetts) and ask. Transcripts are not really under your control, SSATs, depending upon when you requested it (and that you can prove by the receipts). BSs are pretty forgiving, esp if it involve the personal aspects of the application.

I have the same situation. Middlesex online shows ssat scores received a few days after the January 15th date but I spoke to the SSAT company. His ssat account shows and they verified that it was sent on January 3rd. I think the date on the school site shows when middlesex actually filed it under my son’s file. Seems strange to have such a large gap in time. Probably due to so many pieces of so many applications coming in. I didnt receive an email from middlesex yet that everything is all set though.

Does it make me a late applicant if my school sent transcript late to bs because our semester 1 ended after application due date?

Several schools have said that they have a softer deadline for items like transcripts and recommendations, especially if there is a semester end around deadline.

And what of the financial aid applications? My parents just submitted some additional material, but it’s being “verified” right now, and it has been “unverified” since three days ago…at this rate, it’s going to be late :-(

I dont think that you should worry at all as long as you had everything else you should be good. I just took the SSAT on February and the schools that I applied to said they were ok with it, so it will be fine

I’m missing my current grades. Will that hurt me if i send it now? I honestly thought they got that along with my transcript. What do I send? A report card? By fax or mail? Heeeelp! :scream:

When you mean current grades, do you mean second term… if it went along with your transcript…isn’t your transcript your grades. If it’s your first term grades, send it in ASAP. If your talking about second term, I dont think its neccessary to send it in.

First term. That’s why I thought they had it because that’s what your transcripts are but I guess not.

send it in immediately, email or fax, whichever is your convience.

i don’t know what email or fax to send it too. I would call but the admissions office has been closed since friday. This is for andover by the way. Thanks so much for your help!

Who is your interviewer? Send it to that person! He/she will get it once the office is open. Make sure to explain your situation very clearly!
