So I just found out that my guidance office isn’t sending out the mid-year report until Feb 19!! Should I contact colleges and let them know?
Is that late? Most schools I applied to said send mid year reports as soon as your semester ends. They didn’t really give an exact date. Am I missing something? But I’ve also been curious about mid-year reports because my semester is ending later than most others do so I’m worried schools will just think I’m not going to submit anything.
@ThatPeprika I talked to some of the ivy league schools today and they said committee sessions starts in mid Feb so it’s preferable to have the mid-year in by Feb 15. But you’re right, there’s no exact deadline. I just wanna make sure they take the report into account when making the decision.
@IvyLeagueAlien Ahh okay I wasn’t aware of that, thanks! In that case, I should also notify the school I applied to about this (I also applied to some Ivies)
@ThatPeprika when is your school sending out the mid year report?
Mid to late-February
@ThatPeprika So do you think we should contact the colleges?
Yeah, I think so. Even if it turns out to not be such a big deal to them, we should do it just to be safe. It couldn’t hurt.
Yeah, I’ll probably shoot them a quick email.
@IvyLeagueAlien Hi! Did you send them an email, and did they respond yet?
@ThatPeprika yep! they said it’s not a problem and just submit the grades when they become available. they won’t make an admissions decision without it.
