Late Night Overnight Visit?

I'm an admitted prefrosh from Minnesota, and I have a question about overnight stays. My plane lands at LAX at 11:00pm on Wednesday night (April 18). When I bought the cheapest plane ticket a while ago I thought I would be able to sleep at Harvey Mudd even if I arrived really late (how many college students go to bed before midnight, anyway?), but when I called admissions, they couldn't arrange for me to sleep overnight unless I arrived before 4:30. It's too late now to change my flight, and I'm leaving for another college Thursday night, so Wednesday night is my only chance to sleep at Harvey Mudd and get a good feel for it.

So my question is: could anyone here please offer me an unofficial overnight visit Wednesday night? What time to most Mudders go to sleep? I just a place on the floor somewhere. If this wouldn't work I can get a hotel, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask (I started looking at hotels near Claremont when occurred to me how ridiculous it was to pay to sleep next to a college that I want to get a feel for).

You can reply or private message me or email me through my profile.

Thanks a lot!

You can always find somewhere to stay, even if it is unofficial.

However, the question is whether people go to sleep before midnight.

I think I've had the opportunity maybe twice in the last 3 months.

Good luck!

For future visits (little late for this one, clearly), do try to come earlier. It's not an issue of convenience for the students...it's an issue of allowing you to actually get something useful out of the visit. Students are still up at 11, and depending on who you're with and where you are, your stay won't be useless, but you almost certainly won't get the deeper feel for campus life (dining hall, other campuses, general daily hubbub, perhaps a class, etc.) that an overnight visit is intended to provide.

Enjoy your trip, regardless :)
