Late Paper??!!

I am submitting a late paper, but the online submission box was still open even after the deadline. Should I submit the paper and email my professor with an excuse, or should I just submit in hopes they won’t penalize me? I have turned in a late paper online to this teacher before and received no penalty, but I am worried because I’m not sure if he’ll let it slide again.

And yes, I’m aware I have serious procrastination issues.

Is there a legitimate reason it was late other than you don’t know how to manage your time effectively?

If not, submit it without comment and let the chips fall where they may. I always leave my assignments open for later than they’re due because some people will submit it late for excused reasons. But the deadline is the deadline.
