Late postmarked recommendations

<p>Hi all,</p>

<p>I have just finished applying to universities (Stanford, Yale, Princeton, Cornell, etc.) The deadline for most of these schools are today. I understand that they want the teacher recommendations and everything submitted through mail to be postmarked by the deadline. However, I just received an email from one of my teachers saying that he is sending out my recommendations tomorrow! is that okay that it is being postmarked a day late???
i really hope this does not affect my chances for admission!</p>

<p>I’m pretty sure it’s ok if teacher recs are a few days late, as you don’t have any control over that. I’m in the same position, and I’m fairly sure we’ll be ok. Also schools take a few weeks to get all the paperwork in order so it’s not like they’ll review your app without letters of rec.</p>
