Late Residence Accommodation application

so the title pretty much says it all. I was an utter idiot, never bothered to check for the university residence accommodation deadline. I had been waiting for an email from mcgill to update me on the deadline but yeah... anyways so i logged into Minerva and when i click for residence it says your deadline has passed and no survey opens up. I have been searching on google for the result of late residence accommodation but i find nothing. I am about to call the housing but I don't have access to international calling yet. I am an international student. Please tell me what is done from this point or what step i should take. Thank you.

I doubt anyone on this forum would be able to provide a specific answer to this question. I suggest you email McGill and Service Point as soon as possible, telling them of your predicament. Often students cancel their reservation between now and the start of term so it is possible that they might be able to find you a place in one of the residences.
Also, it may not be a bad idea to look up a few rental apartments around McGill as a fall-back plan. On the bright side they’re much cheaper so you might save a lot of money in your freshman year.

No worries! I would call service point and it says on the website that you can reapply on/after? september 15  You probably will not get your first choice, but you will definitely get housing!
