I have a question concerning the deadlines. I submitted my application 2 on the 4th of January. Honestly speaking I had it done by the middle of October but i was acting like a kid ( i completely understand that) and didn't submit it until the last day.

Does it affect my chances of getting in? and how does columbia approach its regular discussion applications? Do they start reviewing the applications the day they come into the admissions office or they wait until January 4th in order to look at all the applications at the same time?

Sorry for writing an essay but im really worried because of that, Thank you very much

It wasn’t even late. Stop worrying.

pretty sure they read apps by first apply first serve. They probably won’t read your app for another couple weeks along with mine which was on the 4th too!

If it makes you feel any better, I submitted my ED app. about 1 minute before the deadline.

REALLY^^^^^ Makes me a lot more optimistic since I turned it in 10 minutes before the deadline!!

Yup. In the end, your application itself will cause your rejection/acceptance, not when you turned the application in good luck guys! Hope to see you next year :)

Haha well thank you people, I hope it will turn out to be positive for all of us =) Good luck to all of you who applied for RD
