<p>Lateral Admission
Students whose admission is declined for fall can apply for admission via the lateral admission process if they achieve at least a 3.80 for a minimum of 12 hours of graded coursework during their first fall semester at FSU. Lateral admits join the Honors program the spring semester following their first semester.</p>

<p>I know I'm not the best student,but if i work my butt off the first semester, i can join the honors college starting with the 2nd semester? Is that what this is saying?</p>

<p>The operative words are “at least a 3.8” and “minimum of 12 semester hours” (about 4 typical classes).</p>
