So, I had a horrible proctor who screwed up timing and etc. He didn't read the rules or follow some of the ACT instructions. I believe that as part of the test introduction (the part he was suppose to read but did not) it gave instructions on how to cancel my test. What day do I have to cancel it by and when should I send my mailed envelope? Where can I get the exact procedures for canceling an exam? (I can't find anything about it online)

This is what it said on act.org:

“The deadline for adding, changing, or canceling college and high school reports is the Thursday noon (central time) immediately after the regularly scheduled Saturday test date.”

When you registered, did you put in schools to have them sent to? If not, I wouldn’t cancel it. You may have done better than you think.

there’s score choice

why bother canceling

So, do I just call the ACT company? email them? mail them a letter? how does this work?

I’m not sure. Try calling them. Make sure you let them know that you want to permanently cancel your test (aka not have it graded). I always thought you needed to cancel ACTs before you left the testing room, but I might be wrong. Call them up.

You can call after finding out what you got and have them delete the score. I have called before asking about how to stop them from sending my ACT scores to the colleges and they said the only way is to delete it.
