Hi everyone, I am kind of stressing out because I will write the MAY sat in a month and my scores haven't improved in a long time. So, I want to know what would be the latest possible date to get all my tests done with for BS-MD programs.

I still need to write everything and I am a junior.
Tentative plan:
SAT:
1st time - May
2nd time - June (if I feel like I would've improved my score since the May SAT...i want to get my superscore score to be great...so if I brush up on one section and gain maybe 50 pts. it would make a big difference)
3rd time - October (will this even be possible?....is it too late?)

ACT: (prep over the summer)
1st time - September
2nd time - October (once again, is this too late to take the ACT?)
***depends how well i do on practice tests over the summer, if i need to take it once or just nail it the first time through in september

Subject tests (SAT IIs):
earliest dates that don;t conflict with my reg. SAT
need to take 2-3 subject tests on the same date.

So, what do you think? are OCT. test dates too late? too close to crunch time? any suggestions?

please, does anyone know when all these tests should be done by when applying to BS-MD/BA-MD combined programs? I’m running out of time and need to plan it all out.

Please help me out CC’ers. Especially if any of you are already in a program…you could let me know when I should have everything done by.

Also, does my above plan^^^seem ideal or is it too late (october tests)?

please can someone help me out? i know with all the acceptances pouring in, all of you went through what I am about to go through and you know the process inside and out. So, when would be the latest days to take any tests and have an awesome shot at BS-MD schools?

I would imagine that if you apply to ANY BS/MD program, that the October test date would be the latest. Most of the BS/MD program applications are due in December, so any test date later than October might be a no-go.

ok. So October is the latest date then. And do BS-MD programs superscore? Like, it depends on the university, I know, but do any come to mind that don’t superscore?

And what SAT score am I looking at for like Rice-Baylor and Wayne State MedStart and such? WhAT i mean is…if you get X on the SAT, then whether you get accepted or not wouldn’t be determined based on your SAT score. What is that X value?

dude a program like rice baylor probably requires an extremely high SAT, for NU if you dont have a decent score like 2200 or a lot better, you wont even get an application. I mean after this screening process, from the advice ive gotten from hpmer’s is that they dont really evaluate these scores afterwards. but whats your sat score now?

^low 2100s. I want to get to low 2200s by the May SAT (I get high 700s in M but 700 in W and high 600s in CR…I want to get W to upper 700s and CR to 700. hopefully). I have yet to write the real SAT (just BB practice tests so far).

But, I will write more than once (which is why i was wondering if Oct. was too late or not, because i’d write in June instead then.

I would say have all your SAT/SAT II/ACT test results in by early November at the latest. Northwestern asks for a pre-application for HPME (you can check their web site for deadlines) and other requirements. So plan your testing schedule accordingly. Also, depending on the schools are interested in applying to, you would want to make sure that you factor into your plans the tests required by that school.

Just prep for 1 week and take ACT once. Have customized plan for yourself, taking class was not very helpful for my D. She had decent score and was accepted to 3 programs, but she did not apply to the very well known, just to in-state.

^so the ACT doesn’t take long to prep for or something, because I want to write that too, and could you PM me the kinds of ‘stats’ your D had please? It would help me get a good idea of what I need to be competitive.
