Hi,

I thought that this season of the year is usually the end of making timely applications to most colleges, but I just looked at the Web site of a college mentioned in another thread, and it appears that the college hints that not meeting the "priority deadline" of 15 January may not be an absolute barrier to admission. So here's the question: what cases do you know of a student who plainly applied past the college's usual stated deadline, but still got into a college that's competitive to get into? How much hidden flexibility may there be in some colleges' deadlines?
