I am an international student and this is my first year studying in Canada. I have been studying in hk for my whole life and I have never thought that I'm going to take the sats one day. I am currently at junior level and I am taking 3 sat IIs in June.

I've heard that the latest test date you can get is Dec of your senior year... but I'd really like to try at least twice for each of my sat tests. Then I'd have to take my sat I in Oct.. and a second time of sat I and sat IIs in Nov / Dec ... Does any schools consider test scores later than that? If I ended up finishing my sats really late, could they be sent to the schools as additional reports???

Yes, they will consider SATs taken in January, I believe, though that is not preferred. You can check out individual school’s standardized score policies on their website.

most schools dont accept january SAT scores but some do. the january test date is typically the one wherein students try to squeeze one more test in; december is generally the main, concluding test date. youd have to check each college as the person above me said. in other words do your college research over the summer while studying for the SAT. if you leave everything to the last minute youll have some issues senior year.

It totally depends on the college you’re applying to. The more selective schools generally will take the December test as the last option. Other schools will accept January, but as a rule of thumb, you don’t want to wait until the last second. You’ll be sending scores to colleges before you even know what your results are! I’d say just get in some really good prep over the summer and make October your best shot at the general test. Good luck!

oo but if i do ACTs instead, do i still have to do the sat I ?
If i don’t, would that save me some available test dates?? hopefully?
how different is ACT from SAT??

o and i’ve signed up for the may sat subject but i’ve moved it to june…
i thought i’d not have enough time to study properly for it…
is that a bad move??? because i might be getting some practice even if i don’t score well…
