<p>yeah, i think in terms of advancing to real literature, latin is def easier. like, all my friends from other schools that got 5s on the ap french or spanish exams had taken the language for 5-6 years...by the time i got a 5 on the ap latin literature exam, i had only taken it for 2 years of learning grammar and vocab and one year of ap.</p>
<p>i took latin for 3 years so i could kick ass on the SAT</p>

<p>I took Latin for two years during high school and I found it really difficult compared to Spanish, which I took in grade school and middle school. I’ve heard other people found it easy with different teachers, so I guess it varies. It helped me so much on the SATs, though, not gonna lie.</p>
<p>latin is easier if you suck at speaking languages, you’re very good at grammar, and you’re very detail oriented.</p>
<p>It only helps on the SAT if you’re good at it… :(</p>
