<p>The lowest cutoff from the previous three years for the top 5%, 15%, and 35% of a graduating class is used to designate cum laude, magna cum laude, and summa cum laude. Aside from the three-year criterion for valedictorian and salutatorian, I don’t see anything that would prevent a transfer student from graduating with Latin honors.</p>
