Latin I & II

My college completer program requires me to take 2 credits of foreign language. I haven't taken any yet. I just received my registration form for Junior year. I plan to take only Latin I Junior year and Latin II Senior year. My guidance councilor told me that's it's better to take 2 foreign language classes in the same year. I could do this, but then I won't any room for AP Chemistry I & II.

Should I take Latin I & II Junior year?

Well, obviously, your school requirements come first. It’s definitely logical to take the foreign class in the same year, since it would be impractical to be walking around with only a year’s worth of Latin you’ll end up forgetting. If your concern is taking the AP exam, starting early to self study for the AP text would be a good idea and just take Latin all of next year.
