I plan to go to law school after college, and here I would like to ask if taking a Latin course in college would help in any way (as law documents use a lot latin phrases). Thanks!

honestly i'd don't really think a latin would help that much...it's not like there's grammar or pinly quotes in law textbooks

Studying Latin will give you a strong grasp of the nuances of English grammar. You will become more conscious of how you choose your words, and how you express yourself. After having memorized hundreds of vocabulary words and paradigms, I imagine your memory and language learning skills would be greatly enhanced.

Any Latinate law phrases are technical terms, you will need to learn the technical legal definitions, and knowing the root meaning in Latin will be of very limited help to you, except perhaps as an aid to memory.

If I were going to study a language in preparation for becoming an attorney in the United States, I would learn Spanish.
