Latin or Greek?

<p>Some of the oldest versions of the Old Testament and virtually all of the New Testament were written in Greek. Greek, not Latin, was the lingua franca of the eastern Mediterranean for over a thousand years.

<p>Oh, wow. I had no idea Greek was ever popular outside of Greece’s area. But now I’m going to have to look up why the Catholics use Latin instead of Greek (besides the obvious Roman part :P)</p>

<p>French in Elem. school, too? I don’t know much about Montessori schools, but that’s pretty amazing.</p>
