Latin Placement Exam

Does anyone know anything about the Latin Language placement exam? I am scheduled to take it during summer orientation but know nothing about the content or format.

They use an old SAT II Latin test.

Thanks holla9.

I plan on taking the SAT Latin test in June anyway. If I were for some reason to get a 650 or higher on this and a lower score on the exam at orientation or vice versa, would I still be exempt from the language requirement?

How did you schedule to take that latin exam? Do you have to email or talk to someone?

It was an option when I registered for summer orientation online under myuva.

I think only your higher score matters. If you score higher than 650 in June than why even bother with the test at orientation (unless you won't have your score in time)? Seacow if I recall correctly you don't actually need to register to take a placement exam, you can just show up at orientation. However the school requests that you register (so they know how many kids are going to take every test) so you might want to look into it. I remember it being easy to register for a placement exam when you register for orientation, so if you haven't registered for orientation yet that probably explains your confusion.

I'm just not sure if i'll have the score from the test by the time I get to orientation. If its the highest of the two scores it doesnt really matter though.
