I have been studying latin for 2 years and was wondering whether or not I should take the Latin SAT subject test. I am not sure how many people actually take this exam, nor how difficult it is. Of course, I could purchase the practice book and work from there...but I was hoping that someone had some first-hand experience they could share...any advice/comments would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Well, I didn't actually take the test-I probably will at the end of next year-but my brothers did. They used Ecce Romani for 4 complete years, and then 3 1/2 years and they got 510 and 500 respectively. Both had 100's in their schools, but I think Ecce Romani doesn't do a good job on all the minute grammar points. I used Ecce too and then another latin book from like the 60's my teacher uses, and honestly, it's like night and day in terms of difficulty. My brothers reported that "it was the hardest test they ever took...ever" etc, etc. Good luck

GARR!!!
I HATE ECCE ROMANI!!!
My teacher goes so slow also, I'm in Latin III and we will only finnish Ecce Romani II!!!
And i need to take the SATII in Latin for EA for Gtown!!!
Ive looked for review books and have found none!!!
Are there any good ones?

there's two out there, a shady looking one and the REA one. the rea one looks pretty good.
