Soooo in. Bejeezies.

In. without a doubt

I don't need an Ego trip, please, am I wasting my ED application? Should I look more to Darmouth....

In.............

Oh my goodness. What is wrong with you?

"Don't want an ego trip?"

Stop getting PO'd. What do you want, negativity?

If so, I'll tell you have a worst shot in hell.

Happy now?

Thank you all, I feel much better now. r2005, you too

Babouche...Your ED chances are probably > 75%, unless your letter writers hate you or you just collapse in your interview.

I have 2 great recommendations: Math and English. I still assume it's going to be hard. There hard too many great candidates

you're so in

I can not understand You :U. Why she is in, while the other are not?
What is so great here? Babouche, it have nothing to do with You, I am not used to american stats, and I would like to know, simply.

Questions:
Babouche, did You publish?
Can You tell me more about this charcterisation?
Where did You get funds for it? [I am just courious. I had problems with funds and lab.]

I did not have time to present the paper for publication or to the Intel competition. The research consisted in studying the charateritics of this particular protein

I know what was the research about, because You told it already, but say why did You study it? Any more information?
Why it was so interesting?

First, it was in Russia second I had never worked with DNA and the procedures, the equipment.... were new to me. The entire experience was worth it. However, I don't think I want to pursue a career in research, too tedious and monotonous

What are You saying?!

Babouche You met the worse side of science. You can be the scientist and making monotonous experiments, but It can be more thrilling than extreme sports.
It is up to You how You plan Your work.
I can agree that characteristics of particular Methlylotransferase is boring.
However, after this boring SBP [some boring protein] analysis, You will get SAD [some amzing device]. :) The gratitude is great. Additionally, If you are really smart, You can bouy on the surface of science waiting for others doing the boring research [for example high school students. hehe ;)], and applying only [You are bioengineer then, right? ;)]... Just kidding, it is moral that You do those things that are needed to Your projects, not give it others, they also want to do amusing science.

That's my opinion. How did You get the possibility of doing research in russia?

I agree with jpsi's initial remark. while you have strong chacnes to get in, i think besidew the research u have nothing else ultra-outstanding. Yes that research is great and u should be proud of it, but stilll ur sat average for princeton and perhaps a little below 50% not sure of this but i think there 50% is a tinge higher. also u wanted honest results, yes u absolutely ahve a strong chance at ed but everyone does. did u center ur essay on the research. also my final question is with all the restearch i think u are very brilliant at science, but then y are both ur science sat scores not that great no offenseor anyting. i could be compl;etely wrong and dotn take this the wrong way, im just staying ur not a sure think because noone is.

Why is she "so in" this is nothing against her, just what of all of her things most convinced you that she would get in. Non ED what would you say her chances were?

Thanks to all of you. Hey, don't get me wrong, I don't think I am a shoe-in. My research was fine but anybody could have done it, if exposed to it. I am not particularly bright but I am curious and I like to understand how things work. And, jpsi, you are right my grades are so so, and that's what worries me. I realize now that I could have studied more during HS. but I wanted to discover other things like directing Shakespeare plays, sciences lab, Africa..... Lately, I've discovered Math and I am really enjoying it. Is Princeton interested in somebody like me?....who knows?

scarsdale...isnt that the school from high school stories where a bunch of kids went to the hospital for showing up drunk at homecoming?? ur famous.

You're in. For asians and whites, it would probably be tougher but you're Latina -- so you're in.
