From several friends who have worked there, the administration has been doing a crap job at LaunchX the past two years. They’ve overexpanded to the point that they can’t deliver quality education anymore; the instructors have decreased in quality for sure as they can’t secure good speakers and educators.
They’re more focused on profit than quality; it’s not fun either said numerous students the past two years. Check out their facebook page. Just ask any recent student; it’s a load of crap said 20+ of my friends who went.
The LaunchX high school program went bankrupt, what does that say about LaunchX in general? A lot.
Also, admit rates have not remained competitive. There’s a reason why they release the cumulative acceptance rate over the 7 years; in the past two years, admit rates have skyrocketed due to expanding locations and program sizes which sounds good, but again quantity should not be prioritized over quality…
Hi guys, this isn’t related to LaunchX but if anyone is interested in international business, I was accepted into an internship program and as the Project Lead I am working to assemble a team. Please message me if any of you are interested in working on a year-long project and I’ll give you more information, and include any credentials or experience you have.
Any feedback from those who are in LaunchX 2020 about how the program is? I have seen some posts about quality decreasing, I am trying to assess it is worth applying for son next year?
Hey @waterfiji I would love to be a part of the team. My email is harishkolli30@gmail.com and my insta is hk_32020. I Look forward to hearing from you.
For anybody who may be going on here to assess if they should apply for the 2021 summer program I 100% recommend. I’m personally in the virtual summer program this year, becuase in-person was canceled, and even though it was online the resources and connections I made went beyond my expectations. Don’t expect to come out of this with a super successful business but if you put in the work you’ll learn a ton about what it’s really like to start a business, whether you have experience or not. Granted, I did not pay full price for the program like some people may have so that could also be a factor. Also your team could be hit or miss, everybody in LaunchX are amazing but of course team dynamics can always be tricky which was exacerberated by the virtual nature of the program. Overall though, everybody I met in Launch was great and the experience was wonderful, especially the guest speakers. If any future applicants have questions feel free to hmu, the program is just about to end for me but since I’m here I thought I might as well give some additional insight to the not so good experiences people have talked about.
