Hey guys, so would it be wise to fill out the entire 10 EC blanks given? If I were to fill the entire 10 blanks given, then I would probably have included 1 or 2 laundry list activities that weren't too meaningful. Or should I just keep my activities to 7 or 8? Thanks

7/8 is really good. If applying to ivies or any other top school, don’t assume that you’re required to fill out 10 spaces.

Bumping this because I want to know the answer too.

but like what is the harm of giving a lot of ec’s? I worked at all of them, but some of them are just not as important and look average.

In general, if you do the activity at least every week, then it is not a “laundry list EC”.

Adcoms have to read thousands of applications, I’m sure if you make them read 3-4 less meaningful ECs, they will be very grateful.

very grateful? or do u mean less grateful?

Hmmm that was worded poorly. Let me rephrase: if you let them read 3-4 less of your less meaningful ECs they will be grateful

oh ok gotcha, but i did participate in them… idk i still want to list them? does it hurt to list them? I will probably just end up deleting them…

If you want to list them, go ahead. They definitely won’t hurt your application (in my opinion).

I don’t think you should list them unless they are really important to you, and from what you’re saying, they are less important.

Don’t do 10. 7/8 is plenty.
