Laundry Service

Are you considering getting the laundry service? My D will be in a double and I thought it would be nice for her roommate if dirty clothing was not on the floor.

Laundry service at Yale is expensive and drop-off/pick-up point is inconvenient. There are dry cleaners near campus and they do a better job than the one from the laundry service.

She should do her own laundry. It's a good life skill, there are many convenient laundry rooms on campus, and you can find out online when machines are free. My D has had no trouble at all getting hers done.

I'm guessing the laundry service is mostly a profit point from students used to having maid service at home. If you have the money and don't think your child will ever have to do her own chores in the future, go for it.

it sucks. they a bunch of my ****.

they lose stuff and aren't really worth it. let her do her own.

I guess we will have to rethink this graduation gift from Grandma. D is perfectly willing and capable of doing laundry, the thinking was that it might be a time managment issue. Money is tight right now anyway.
