Laundry Service

I know a lot of my friends at other colleges say they have paid for a laundry service where their laundry is done for them every week, and that the time it frees up is well worth the price of the service, but I don't know. Is there such a thing at Vassar? Does anyone actually use this service? If anyone has info on this topic, I would love to hear it.

Nope. Unless you want to pay me to do your laundry.
Laundry isn't really time-consuming. It's just a pain to haul your stuff to the laundry room. If you do it on a weekday night, there will be enough free washers and dryers. Which dorm are you in next year?

HEY wow I'd definitely accept money to do someone else's laundry! I started practicing this summer and I'm pretty good at it (or at least, I haven't bleached anything white yet OR dyed anything pink :D).

And I don't believe housing assignments are out yet for freshmen, kayrlis... they're not available until early August, I believe.

Dorm assignments and roommate info were issued last week. My D got her via her vassar email and personal email address. You might want to check your email for them. If you didn't get it you probably should call.

Thanks janetkc83... I'll be checking that RIGHT away...

Same here...D in Davison. Good luck.

That's the same dorm I'm in, actually :D

My son got his dorm assignment via e-mail last week. he is in Joss in a one room triple.

littleathiest- not to sound creepy, but my ex-roomie and I have been stalking the '11 facebook group to see who got our killer room next year, so I knew the assignments were out.
Davison is a great dorm. I live across the quad from it in Lathrop, but Davison would be my second choice of where to live. The people there are just so easy going and friendly, but there aren't many crazy parties. (Lathrop is not the party dorm, really... the House Team has been working on that perception. Main was pretty crazy this past year.)

my D will be living in Lathrop this year and she was concerned with the "party house" reputation it seems to have.

i'm living in lathrop next year, and frankly, i love the idea of it being the party dorm. guess vassar really did look over my survey...

anyway, i could use some help with the wash...i've never actually done it. :-</p>

refusetheday- it's not hard. we can do laundry together. the worst part is i'm living on the fourth floor next year, and those stairs suck.

Fun to hear about the dorms again. I lived in Joss and Main a long time ago. I ran into someone in Starbucks wearing a VC sweatshirt (in the 90 degree heat!)the other day. She had lived in Noyes she jsut graduated, I believe).
