Laundry service

I got a letter in the mail about the laundry service at Dartmouth. I was wondering if a lot of students take advantage of this service, and what some of the pros and cons are.

Do your own laundry as you can use your Dartmouth Dash and do it at your own convienience.

Laundry service picks up and delivers once a week and it only covers so much laundry and a few items of dry cleaning.

when did u get the laundry service info.. i never got it? do they only offer one service or do they have some kind of unlimited plan. is it E & E?

do they give you a website or a phone # where you can sign up for this.. i never got it and i am interested in getting the service.

You can always sign up for laundry service (it is done by an outside vendor) on move in day as reps will be there. There are some but not a lot of students who use the laundry service as most prefer to do their own.

A laundry room is available for student use on the ground or first floor of each residence hall cluster, academic affinity, special interest and College-owned undergraduate society or CFS house. Washers and dryers can be used 24 hours a day. The cost is $1.25 to wash and $1.25 to dry and can be paid for with quarters and/or Dartmouth Card.

Is there a dry cleaners/laundry within easy walking distance of the campus for those occasional times when my S gets behind on doing his own laundry?

the dry cleaners is in Hanovet walking distance from the school (town is not that big) the lundry room is most likely in his building.

Can you purchase laundry service for only 1 semester, say "Spring" semester?

I really do not know. The laundry service people will be there on move in day so it is best to ask them.

i believe E & B
and they will be there at check in to sign up

in the river dorms the laundry rooms were so tiny that we took one look and signed my son up...he still did some laundry but the service was quite good ..ex picked up monday am..back thurs

sorry its actually E and R

unless you really really do not have any time to do your own laundry, i would not suggest it. the program is expensive, and several people that i knew who partook in it lost items of clothing.

Hope we will have enough for our laundry...lol

Again.. does someone know where you have to drop your laundry bag and where do you pick up your dry cleaning stuff.. or do they deliver it to u? how this E AND R work?

eand r gives yu a bag and you stuff all you can in that bag and leave it outside your door for pickup next morning...few days later it returns ouside your door...last year for my son was mon pickup and return thurs
