I am currently in my senior year at UCLA and I expect to graduate from here Summa Cum Laude (3.93 GPA). I want to apply to law school and my goal is Harvard, Stanford, or Yale. If not those at least a top 15 school. I am also an African American male. My main concern is that I just found out the LSAC GPA calculates all your grades from community college, including any D's or F's, even if you retook those courses for a better replacement grade. Now my LSAC GPA is a 3.54 (a significant difference!). During community college I was involved in a severe car accident, almost losing my life and losing my transportation to school and to my job. Things got ruff, my focus was on how I was going to be able to support myself financially and my grades significantly dropped. Im sure UCLA took this into consideration when they accepted me. I have had straight A's since I transfered here mainly because I have nothing else to worry about other than my academic performance. I think this shows the connection between poverty and dismal academic performance. I want to know if I still have a shot at HYS and will those schools take this into consideration? What kind of LSAT score do you think I would need? Would a 168 LSAT work?

168 Should do you fine the gpa is what it is. I wouldn’t worry too much.
