Which of the top schools offer them? I know most don't, and that Northwestern does.

Northwestern is the only school that offers (and strongly encourages) interviews. Nonetheless, I interviewed at two other schools and was offered an interview at a fourth.

If you want to interview, call up and ask. Let them know when you will be in town. Go to the LSAC forum and talk to the admissions directors there. Sometimes, the face-to-face interaction can really help your application.

which other schools offered you interviews? and where did you ask and they said yes?

most of the top schools' websites say they do not offer interviews, but should i still try asking anyway? if so, should I ask before I submit my application, or after? thanks!

Cardozo offered an interview. I called up W&L and W&M for interviews. American refused when I asked. I have a friend who interviewed at Pace, Brooklyn, and a few others.

Yes, ask anyway. Northwestern is the only one that officially offers interviews.

After. If it's before you submit your application, go to the LSAC forum (see lsac.org for a list) and talk to the admissions officers there - and then follow that up with a quick note thanking them for their time, and reference the discussion in your cover letter. Once you've submitted your application, ask for an interview - but wait about a month or so (it's a good way to follow up).

Cardozo...hmmm...I wonder what happened to him (you know, the person that used to post here.)

We have shed a few people - Cardozo, that Susan777 woman - although I do miss Cardozo's posts. :(

I guess I'll e-mail him/her :D
