Law School consideration of Canadian Universities

I'm currently just a senior in high school but it is my goal to go on to a t14 law school after my undergraduate degree. My current plan is to go to university in Canada for my undergraduate because it makes more sense financially. It is extremely cheap for me in Canada since I'm a permanent resident and I really want to be debt free when I start law school.

My question then is: How do the t14 law schools rate some of the higher ranked Canadian universities when it comes to admissions? The specific schools I have been accepted into in Canada are Mcgill, University of Toronto, and University of British Columbia. Toronto and Mcgill are also notorious grade deflators, would they weigh my GPA from one of these schools the same as an average US university? And if so would a good GPA plus a good LSAT be weighted the same as an equal GPA and equal LSAT from a US university?

My understanding is that t14 law schools don’t care and usually take numbers at face value.

First, answer this question for me: where do you want to practice law? In the US? Or in Canada?

I definitely want to practice law in the states. Right now I’m an American living in Canada because of my dad’s job and although I love it here I do want to live and practice in the States after law school.

Okay. Got it. I think you’re better off going to university at a top school here then. I, on the other hand, actually want to practice in Canada, so I was thinking I should have gone to UToronto but after hearing of rumors about grade deflation, I’m glad I’m doing university here :)
