Law School GPA/Community College

Hello,

I know that GPA from a community college does not transfer over to count towards a UC GPA, or most other private universities for that matter.

But, does it get counted towards evaluating one's cumulative GPA for one's law school GPA?

For example, suppose I transfer to Berkeley from a California Community College, if I apply to Columbia Law School will my GPA from community college be factored into my cumulative GPA for my application?

Thanks.

Not sure, but I think they average your GPA from the community college and university.

The law schools you apply to will get a GPA calculated by LSAC that will include all post-secondary study.

Yes, LSAC includes your community college GPA. You should really look into how LSAC calculates GPA because its not as straight forward as you think it would be. I hear a lot of people are surprised when they see their LSAC GPA.

I'm pretty sure you have more than one GPA, as in: overall GPA, major GPA, UC GPA.

Which one Colombia Law looks at? No clue.

Im pretty sure they focus on your LSAC gpa. That is the gpa they release for their statistics.
