Law School Visits

I heard that law school keep a record of all contact a prospective student have with admissions. I was just how long do they keep these records. I am going on a few law school visits this month but won't be applying to law school until next year, 2010, and was wondering if they would have a file for me if I maintained in contact until that time. Is there something that I can do now that will show my interest besides campus visits?

Visiting will have a very tiny impact on your chances of admission. You could mention in your personal statement or “Why [X Law School]?” essay that you visited (and that you liked x,y, and z that’s particular to the school) if you’re worried that they’ll forget. But to answer your question “Is there something that I can do now that will show my interest besides campus visits?” really just get a great LSAT and GPA and they won’t care if you visit or not.
