Law school

Ok, so this is way way way in the future, but I am still a bit concerned. I just finished my freshman year with a GPA that I am by no means proud of, a 3.1. My low GPA is a result of "core classes," receiving low grades in my science classes. As far as classes in my major only, I have something like a 3.75. My concern is is that I would really like to get into a good Law program, with Georgetown and UT being my preferences right now (nothing too high ranking, but still well ranked.) I was wondering what you think my chances of bouncing back would be, maybe being able to pull off something near a 3.6-3.7 by the time i apply. I know a lot of law school depends on LSAT score, but Im just worried my GPA will hinder any decisions on my application. Again, I know this is so far away and that I have 3 years to pick up my GPA, I am just concerned and need some reassurance (hopefully I get that!) Thanks!
