Typical majors for Pre-Law applicants are History, PoliSci, and English. I want to go to Law School but I'm not sure if I should major in those. I was thinking about Econ and PoliSci.

If I double major in Econ and PoliSci do I have a better chance of looking more diverse to Law Schools as oppose to majoring in the typical three?

I heard that if you apply with something different then the three, it looks good.

Mostly they don't care at all about what you majored in. Different majors will prepare you differently though. I'm looking at doing Law School possibly double majoring in Philosophy and English, both of which should be excellent preparation for the LSAT and Law School in general. It couldn't hurt to look more diverse, but I don't know how much they consider those kinds of things. Double majoring will at least show that you have a more difficult schedule though.

Philosophy, in my opinion, is by far the best pre-law major. English is good preparation, and econ majors statistically have very high LSAT scores. But there is no right or wrong answer as long as you have the skills necessary for the LSAT. The LSAT, however, is not a reliable measure of how good you will be at law.

Major in what you want to, it basically won't matter what you major in to the law school. I knew somebody who double majored in bio or chem (can't remember) and math and later went to law school.
