Law schools and W's on transcript

Hi all, I have a question about how law schools (and LSDAS) view a couple W's (non punitive) on the UG transcript. I ask because this past semester, I had to withdraw from Chemistry I and World Lit secondary to an illness (though I was taking 26 credits = 8 classes, but at a decent state school). I've read that as long as one or two Ws aren't factored into the GPA (which they aren't) the law schools will basically ignore them. Assuming I have a 4.0 gpa and only two W's, will the W's hurt me in law or business school admissions?

Also, should I retake these exact courses (which I know I can do well in)? Or can I retake similar courses (Anat. and physiology I and Contemporary Lit.)? I plan to major in mathematics, so while these courses aren't requirements, I don't want LS to think I cannot handle these courses.

Thanks so much. Alex

Too many W's are frowned upon

only 2 W's will not be a problem.

bump. can anyone forward me to any articles/publications that address this issue?

I doubt anyone will fild fault with dropping two courses due to an illness in a semester where you started with 26 units (which sounds like an absurd courseload! no wonder you got sick!).
