The 15th is approaching .....anybody hear anything yet?

Haven't heard yet either.

Will they be letting us know by mail or by email? They never did specify. I hope it comes early (well...I guess it can't be much earlier since the 15th is only 3 days away)!

I think by mail, but am not 100% sure. It seems last year some received a call from admissions saying they were accepted, then the acceptance package followed a few days later in the mail. It seems about this time that the calls started.....

so we wait for a call...aha.

"so we wait for a call...aha."

Yes...but it seems as though not everyone who was accepted got a call last year. Hope the decisions come out this week as expected. My S is very anxious :)

well..no mail or call today. I guess there's always tomorrow!

my s says there are four people on the accepted facebook site. they cd be EDers (but s says one he knows probably did not). adcon told me answers are mailed out on 1-15. not sure I'd trust an adCON

mailed out on the 15th...that means it won't come for a few days sighs

yeah, no kidding. Mail usually takes 3 days to get here from Wisconsin :(

we're IN wisconsin, and still nothing yet!

well...aha. it might take a while to get all the way here (Hawaii). i think i'll be on a trip when it does come.

Hopefully the delay does not mean that they had so many more applications this year than past years that they are behind.....at least we know that the decision probably won't arrive here tomorrow if Wisconsin has not even received their's yet : l

OY! Such hope! What if there is a missive in the mail and it rejects you and dashes your hopes?

Do you have backup?

curious

My daughter is waiting to hear from Lawrence, too. Yesterday my little boy got a birthday card in the mail from his aunt in Milwaukee. It was postmarked the 14th (maybe 8 pm?) so it took two days to get to the Chicago suburbs from Milwaukee. Assuming Lawrence mailed their decisions on the 15th, I hope my daughter gets some good news in the mail today!

To all of you waiting for a Lawrence decision, good luck. My d is a freshman this year, and her very unofficial poll suggests that quite a few of her friends were deferred last year because of heavy application numbers, and ultimately accepted in the regular pool. Possibly this will repeat this year.

Icky news about the deferrals, but good to hear it worked out in the end, at least last year.

Do you have backup?"

My son is already in at 4 schools, so he would be fine with going to one of those. That said, he is very interested in Lawrence, so would love to have that option.

So EA (Early ACTION) = deferral = non action

better than a rejection

But my wife said that if they only like you enough to render a deferral, then they probably would not come up with much money IF they deign to give you an accept later.

S said adcom said that around 25 pct of applicants are deferred at Lawrence.

woo hoo!! my friends got their letters yesterday after school and it was all good news!

good luck to the rest of you!
