Lawrence EA-anybody hear yet?

for any who recvd a defer non decision, what kind of envelope did you have, thick or thin?

My daughter got her big envelope today, containing good news: an acceptance and a very nice Trustee Scholarship. Happily, she is in contention for the Warch Scholarship as well, and they want to use her essay as a sample for future candidates. She is very happy.

Congrats everyone!

Was the postmark the 15th?

Joecollegedad-
I would assume that the deferrals would be a letter sized envelope and only acceptances would come in thick envelopes.

So exciting that there is finally news!

The big envelope was postmarked January 15th. I truly hope everyone gets the good news for which they are eagerly awaiting!

congrats to those who got in  hopefully it will come tomorrow…I HOPE. lol.

Thick big envelope arrived in the mail today from Lawrence. S is not home yet, but am HOPING it means good news  I am so happy for him!!!

D got her big (acceptance) envelope on the 18th.

mine arrived on the 22nd  it took a week..but it was worth the wait!

joecollegedad:

Got a deferral that came in a regular sized envelope. Thought it would be a rejection, but fortunately not. Already sent an email with an update to the ad counselor interviewed with and got a nice email in return. Wonder how many of EA were rejected?

any of the acceptances: did you receive any pledges of money in addition to an acceptance? D recvd acceptance with 0 money. Might they extend merit money later? Or are we looking at

the good news is you are in
the bad news is … you owe $39k less EFC.

I dont know what my EFC is yet.

They did offer a very generous scholarship with my acceptance. I’m not too sure if that applies to all merit scholarships.
