I've narrowed down my college decision to either Lawrence University or the College of Wooster. Both have given me about the same financial package. I'm leaning towards Lawrence right now, but if anyone has any input about either of the schools that would be great. I'm interested in majoring in either English or Political Science, and I'm hoping to meet a group of creative and interesting kids. Help me out?

My son whittled his last two down to LU and Wooster, but there was never a consideration when he saw the financial aid as equal. He chose Lawrence and graduates this spring. He ended with a Government major. They do a great job for their students. The students I have met are quirky, kind, intellectual, fun. Generally, the feel on campus is friendly. But, I don’t think you would go wrong with either one. Have you visited?

Yes, and I’m going back in a week to visit both. I got a good vibe from both campuses, but I’m hoping that spending the night will help me get a better feel. Thanks for your help!

I’m a triple major (Government, Russian, English) at Lawrence and am very happy here - Lawrence was my backup school but I’ve felt like it may be a better fit for me than any of the higher-prestige (Northwestern, Stanford, Ivies) schools to which I applied.

Lawrence is a good place to be and I highly recommend it.

This is a great thread. My son and I have visited both Wooster and Lawrence. They both feel like very warm, inviting campuses. They both seem like great choices for the serious liberal arts student who also wants a music focus. If anyone has any additional thoughts on this, that’d be great! Thanks, L

I know this is an old thread, but I’m curious about recent perspectives from people who have visited both schools, particularly with regard to the sciences.
