So I requested an off campus interview, though, Lawrenceville admissions told me they’d just waive it for me. However, today (about 3 weeks later) I got an email from an admissions officer requesting to have an interview with me. Is this a good sign??? Does this mean that the admissions officers liked my application?? I’m a 9th grade transfer for 10th grade.
Yeah, seems that they have shortlisted your application. And now if you pass the interview then of course you can take admission there. Good luck!
It is a positive sign. They liked your application, and want a better perspective of you as a person, not numbers.
Well, it is not a no. But it is not a sure thing. Do well on your interview, prepare and ask questions. Good luck!
Don’t read too much into it, but practice talking out loud about your family, what you like to do outside of school, if you play sports, what makes you unique and academic interests
Also, be yourself. Don’t stress too much. Don’t try to “paint” a perfect image of you as an applicant. Don’t ask vague questions. Be specific. A good interview will feel more like a conversation, rather than an exchange of questions and responses. Bring up important aspects of your character. More importantly, pitch YOURSELF to the interviewer. Not what you THINK the school wants. Good luck to you!
