I know Lawrenceville revisits started today and goes through tomorrow.

@mrnephew: Have fun!!!
LOL, was it fun?

I’m not going until later on. I couldn’t make that date, so I’m going on another day.

Cool. Have fun.
Fill me in on how it was!!
p.s. congrats!!!

I’m really happy for you.
:)

:)

We were there on Thursday evening and Friday. Lville was all about Harkness and House. I didn’t think the former was unique to Lville but the latter was. I felt that the House system helped tremendously for assimilating day students and boarders together, and new 10th graders. Faculty members and students emphasized a lot and consistently on the relationships among students and between students and teachers, which was a plus for us.

Another positive thing was, kids there were just kids. At some other BSs we have toured, many kids appeared overly outgoing or dominantly type A or grown too mature for their age. At Lville, these kids may be very smart and talented, but they seem to be more relaxed and just the kind of kids I would see around my town. Now, I understand this could be just a matter of taste/preference. I guess I just don’t want my child to behave like a college graduate… not yet.

That’s awesome!!! I can’t wait.

Boarding the flight to New Jersey in a couple minutes… So tired…

Have fun.

:) thanks, I will!

It was awesome. Loved the people, dorms, classes, sports stuff, I felt like I’d fit in there.

Let’s go class of '17!!

@mrnephew: Oh you got in as a rising sophomore?
Cool.
Congrats!! Wait, how long was it?

What was how long?

If you’re talking about the revisit then it was ~6 hours

Yeah that’s what I meant.
Lucky duck, you got into one of my dream schools!!
Have fun and wishing you the best of luck there!

Thanks!

I thought the only Lville revisit day left was tomorrow??

I couldn’t make any other day, and tomorrow was day students only, so they paired me up with a student today.

That’s nice of Lville to arrange that. Have you visited Loomis too?

Nope, didn’t need to. :)
