Lawrenceville School Life

Hey guys, I was just admitted into Lawrenceville and I decided that I am going next year. Although I was wondering how the dorms will be. Are the dorms nice? Can someone elaborate on the House system because it confuses me. Not only this, but do you have the option of having a single in Lawrenceville? I would prefer to have a single in all four years if that is possible.

Not only dorms, but what is the campus life like. What is a normal day like at Lawrenceville? If anyone has an input please tell me. I am so excited for next year.

You can start by reading here, and searching other threads.

I think L’ville is a great school! The House system is similar to dorms- you are in your House for sophomore and junior years if I am not mistaken, and it’s designed to bring the students closer together and create some fun activities, traditions, and the like. Lawrenceville has a very high percentage of day students, about 33%, and is located in an urban city, so that both has its downfalls and its upsides.

To get a sense of the school, run a search and look for threads that are started by Lawrenceville students and parents. See if you can PM someone from the school or who has attended. Read through your viewbooks again and check out the website. Another great source is the Lawrenceville Lookbook, which is a Tumblr blog that posts pictures of the students’ clothing and styles. Schedule a revisit and ask to meet with specific teachers or coaches. Just do some deep research and you should come away with a pretty good sense of the school!

Thank you so much pdl100 and skieurope. Do you guys know if you have the option to have a single throughout your years at lville?

If I recall correctly, there are a fair number of singles to be had, but it is a choice.

oh alright you seem very knowledgeable about lawrenceville, pdl100, have you attended or applied?

I got admitted as well but is still in the process of deciding.
