Lawrenceville

Lvilleslacker :

Please tell me you're kidding, right? I'm heading to L'Ville next year and I always assumed it wasn't a party lifestyle oriented school, but now it seems you are describing L'Ville as a boring school where kids just study. Can you describe me some on and off campus activites that are avalaibe and what type of students are at L'Ville. I'm an incoming junior and I play lots of sports (football, hockey (I'm Canadian lol) and lacrosse). Do you think I'll fit in or are kids mostly all "nerds"? Sorry for the stereotype, I just couldn't find another word that could fit into my sentence :P. I mean, it's cool that kids are intelligent which I like, but there must be some kind of social life going on on campus?

Anyways, I just can't wait 'till next fall. I'm so thrilled and also feel very lucky to be attending such a prestigious school.

Well, it's not the best school for social life or girls, but the place is very welcoming. You will find fun without the use of alchohol or drugs. There is some pretty girls and campus is buzzing with lots of fun stuff to do. But, based on your other posts, you will not party as much as your expecting to. You will get use to it, and you will get an easy access to pretty much any top college in the country which is the most important part of your prep school experience (for me anyways). I actually think there never was any drug or alcohol on campus. Maybe you should of chosen another school. Also, it is definately not a jock school which seems to be the opposite of yourself. Sorry if I'm being very negative, but this is the obvious truth. Don't worry, you will still have a great time over there.

Just one week ago (in your first-ever post on CC) there you were, giving jock8798 a reality check and speaking knowledgeably from prior experience ("I actually think there never was any drug or alcohol on campus."). You were quite certain last week about how bookish and businesslike Lawrenceville is.

You made your debut on CC exactly 3 hours and 50 minutes after our erstwhile party-animal, jock8798 was last seen on CC (in the post you were replying to).

jock8798 began his posting career on the same day. But he started off in another forum pretending that he was already attending Lawrenceville. It was later that he admitted that he was only about to enter Lawrenceville. As a hockey and lacrosse-playing 11th grader. Just like you! Hey, whaddya know, you guys are like twins! And that whole thing about joining CC within hours of each other...it's like you guys are mentally connected!

But, for our purposes here, I don't know how you can go from a week ago when you were lecturing jock8759 in no uncertain terms about being too party oriented for a school that you claimed was not a great party school...to tonight, where you are now breaking a sweat as you seek out information about the Lawrenceville party scene that lvilleslacker described in terms consistent with how you described it to jock8798 last week.

That sort of panic over a lack of a party scene is actually the kind of reaction I'd expect from jock8798. You two really ought to look each other up next fall! ;) LOL.

Hope this explains it :

Look, I never heard of this site before until I was with my friend someday last week talking and searching the net. We've found this site and so he decided to create an account (jock8798) and go on the college posts to have some info about college party scenes. Since he also lives in mtl, but is attendind a pretty lame public high school and isn't much of a brain, he decided to say he was at L'Ville to give himself more credibility. I thought this site was very interesting and so I decided to come on the Prep Admissions forum to ask questions about L'Ville with the jock8798 account. Someone (I don't remember who) didn't really answer my question just saying that he wouldn't talk about L'Ville. I realized that the account jock8798 had lost all credibility. And so, I came back to my house later that day to create my own account. I noticed that I couldn't say that I was a junior coming to L'Ville because jock8798 said the same thing that day. So, to "hide" myself, I answered my own question so people would think, which didn't really work, that I wasn't the same guy. But obviously having no experience at all at L'Ville, my answer was pretty lame. So, to sum it up, I don't know if jock will ever be used again, but I will use prepstudent1 which is my actual account.

And also, I'm not the party-type kind of guy, but in my previous post, I wanted more info about the social life on campus. Social life doesn't mean party. Just some normal activites that go aroung on or off campus during the weekends. I'm not going to talk about the academics at L'Ville, it is considered one of the top in the country. Don't worry, I am definately not breaking a sweat about it. So,can someone please answer my questions about L'Ville ??

Thanks
