What is the best way to get from LAX airport to USC campus? I know they have shuttles, but do we have to reserve them ahead of time?

Taken from SCampus (Exploring Los Angeles section):

Airport Shuttle Services
A number of airport shuttle services can trans-
port you to and from the airport.

Prime Time Shuttle
(800) RED-VANS

$13.50 per person to/from 1/4 mile of campus
and LAX by showing your USC ID. Prime Time
Shuttle is a preferred vendor for USC.

Super Shuttle

shared ride van service

FlyAway
(866) I-FLY-LAX
[LAWA - FlyAway](LAX Official Site | Traffic and Ground Transportation - FlyAway Bus)
$7 each way, runs 24 hours a day. Goes from
LAX to Union Station. USC trams run to both
UPC and HSC campuses.

My guess is you have to reserve in advance.

I recommend the Flyaway shuttle to Union Station, then the USC shuttle to campus. I’ve used it many times and I much prefer it to the shuttle services.

yeah Flyaway worked great for me when I came for orientation, though because our flight got in so late and because of the tram’s limited summer hours from Union Station, we ended up taking buses, which was a very… different experience. I’d recommend the tram though, it’s quite nice.

agreed, flyaway to union station for seven bucks then the free usc tram works great

Yea I would also recommend Flyaway, though you don’t need to make a reservation for it. Just make sure you check the times for the Flyaway AND the tram from Union Station to campus so you don’t get stuck anywhere or have to end up taking the bus/calling a taxi.
