Listen kid, I’m not going to chance you for either of the schools you’ve listed here.

What I am going to do is recommend that you stay at your college for an extra year. Why? The longer you stay, the LESS your high school and SAT scores matter. I understand that you’re not going to send your SAT scores and high school transcript anyway. Sounds like a good idea, right? But see, now ALL colleges have to look at is your 3.7 with 18 credits. Impressive, yes — but do you think this is enough to base an admissions decision off of? They would prefer that you get at least three semesters under your belt before you opt-out of sending your high school transcript and SAT scores.

Trust me — transfer next year with a 3.7+ GPA with 50+ credits, and I’m sure you will be a competitive applicant to each of the schools listed here and more.

That being said — it doesn’t hurt to apply. Good luck, kid.

that’s what i was afraid of.
i can’t stay at my school since it’s too expensive, and the closest community college from me is 45 minutes away.

but i’ll try!

Maybe try the Act’s? Or lower tiered schools in your area.

First I would like to high five you because aku orang indonesia juga. LOL

Second, I agree with one of the previous answers. You did very well your first semester of college but it still not enough to offset your “not so good” high school stats. Spend a couple more semesters and get high grades and your low SAT and high school stats won’t matter anymore.

We actually are kind of in an identical situation. I was a horrible student back in high school (rank 219/294, 3.2 GPA, no honors or AP classes, horrible sat scores (1010/1600).

I decided to go to a local community college and have maintained a 4.0 through 3 semesters (45+ credits) and now have been getting lots of offers from colleges like cornell, tulane, and others)
Trust me, you are doing a good job so far so just continue for a couple more semesters.

good luck.

You should try out as a junior transfer with a HS record like that…
