Lay it on me!

Hey,

Letters of Rec: I have only seen 1 of the 2, but that one was really good, you could tell my teacher really knew me. Hopefully the other is of the same caliber!

Essays: Ahhh! I've written some but they're all so bad. It's just hard for me to pick a good topic. I don't think they'll bring me down, but I'm just worried they won't be too impressive.

Ok thanks so much!

Good chance at Claremont, Pamona, Whitman, U Wash, and Tufts. rest might be reaches..

and Arabic? That's really awesome!

Very strong applicant. SFS as you probably know is very competitive(only one of its kind), but you will be very competitve.

Hey...another IBer! Sweet! Anyway, to business...like Vicki672, I think that you are an ideal candidate for the UW-Honors College. I have a cousin there and he's enjoying it. I also am going to apply to UW for RD but I'm not sure whether I'll apply for the Honors College. As for Georgetown, like the other Ivies, your stats are probably in their middle 50% or better...but then again, the Ivies are sort of weird in their selection. I say that you have a decent shot at Georgetown and Johns Hopkins. Like a lot of others said to me, just make sure your essays make you an unique individual. I think this is the case, too, for Brown and Middlebury. (All hail Middlebury for their foreign language dept.!) For the Claremont Colleges listed, I think you're in from what I know of them, which isn't a lot; and the rest, I'm not informed enough about them to tell. In short, I think you're a great candidate for any of these colleges and I wish you the best of luck! Oh, and let's kick butt in May/June for IB tests!

I think you have a good shot at all the schools you listed. However, one thing I would improve on is your ECs. Music, sports, and clubs are very normal; almost everyone has at least 2 of the three. Maybe do some volunteering at a hospital or something.

Good luck

lol you can put rec basketball on an app?

Well, obviously you CAN.
Music is where I'm talented and spend a ton of time on though, so my apps will focus on that.

haha we are applying to a bunch of the same schools and have semi similar statistics... so i hope we both get in! :)
