LBW at Wharton 2011

What if you network with the professors there, maybe score a letter of rec, would that be an admissions bump?

you won’t have much, if any, time to network with professors while you’re there. at least not in person. I don’t know enough to say if a rec can help you though

Hi everyone! I’m interested in applying to LBW 2012, and I was wondering how much weight your ECs hold. After looking through some threads, it seems like the only part of the application where you can let your ECs shine is in the essay, which is pretty limited. I didn’t do too well on my PSAT (219) and I haven’t taken my SAT yet, but my grades, SAT IIs, and AP tests are all pretty good.

Thanks for your help! :)

Can we just start a new thread for this year rather than clogging up last year’s?

2012 thread.

Hey everyone, please chance me this year for Wharton LBW. I go to a pretty competitive Catholic school with the full IB program in Pennsylvania. Here goes:

GPA: 4.0 UW/not sure what it is weighted, it was 5.4 at end of sophomore year
All honors fresh/soph year with 97-100(A+) in all but two(in those I got 96’s)
Junior year schedule(full IB):
IB Biology HL
IB History of Europe HL
IB Economics SL
IB Math Studies SL
IB Spanish SL
IB English HL
TOK
Religion 3
This is definitely the most rigorous courses I could have taken at my school.

PSAT: 216 (75 CR, 66 M, 75 Writing)
Taking SAT in March for the first time

School EC’s
President and Founder of Economics Club
Founding Member and Economics Editor for the Journal of World Affairs

SADD
Ski Club
Varsity Lacrosse(all years)
Varsity Golf(all years)
