LBW at Wharton 2011

Waitlisted!

ok wow.

I was a little shocked
I was looking forward to rejection
and it was waitlist

alright I’ll admit that my essay was a piece of crap.
it was prolly the worst writing I have ever done (written in 15 mins)
I seriously did not do my research and thought this camp was like those harvard/ columbia camps where as long as u pay u get in
lesson learned!

Any advice for the app for those applying for next year?

take the SAT’s in the fall try to do well and try to do well on the PSAT and get some good recs

Yes SAT in the fall and well on the PSAT…I couldn’t send in my much better March scores but only my average PSAT scores…

Also, TAKE THE ESSAY SERIOUSLY
(ok fine, I was prolly the only person that didn’t)
write a good one and you’ll be fine

Accepted to the Philadelphia campus.

Congratulations you guys for being accepted!
I am waitlisted so I don’t know if I need to look forward to the imaginary hope of getting in or go to another program. Does anybody have any idea that how many people are waitlisted? I really hate to wait for an extra month…:(

Im starting to feel like they just accept the 120 and put the rest all on waitlist…

Yea, that’s how I feel too. :frowning: I guess the reason why I didn’t get in is cuz I am not very good at extracurricular stuff. sigh

So are you going to accept a spot on waitlist or just withdraw it, Sister277?

got into SFO!!

accepted to SFO!
(from Chicago area)

Does anyone know where the housing is for SFO? I’ve read that it’s at a “nearby college”

San Fran here I come. So pumped to go.

Accepted to the Philly program!!
But I’m thinking we need a facebook group. Anyone else?

I got waitlisted :frowning: congrats to everyone who got in!

@voyagerj I’m going to stay on the waitlist just because this is the only summer program I have now =(((((
yeah…it sucks

Can the people who got in post their stats?

Yup just wondering the stats you will need to get accepted… could one of the waitlist people also post their stats? Thanks

I don’t think there’s anything special about LBW in relation to any other competitive program / college. Basically, strong transcript, test scores, essay, and recommendations get one in… At least, that’s what worked for me I think.

Sorry for sounding cliched… I’m sure this isn’t what anyone wants to hear now but I think LBW more than college apps consider essays, ECs, recs more than “stats”.

Question: Should I withdraw from waitlist of LBW and apply to the Julian Krinsky Internship program or still keep the spot on waitlist?

Are you not allowed to keep the spot on the waitlist while applying for the internship program?
