LBW at Wharton 2011

fb group is called wharton lbw 2011

oh gosh I wish I could join that fb group I really do
but cant find out until may 13th =(

I emailed carrie and asked if I could update my stats
(March SAT is a TON better than PSAT)
no reply yet so we’ll see
I seriously wanna kill myself for not taking the essay seriously.
it was a piece of crap.

ok got a reply from carrie
she says for past years the movement from waitlist to acceptance is very limited =(
I wouldn’t get my hopes up
*sigh
and also I can’t send new info…
well well…

You should request to join the FB group anyway!

Can I still join even though I was waitlisted? Haha.

You can make the facebook page public…

Dang quickster… I envy your PSAT and SAT score @.@

So we can’t update our app info? Duh…
I emailed the admission officer and she said that they didn’t rank wl students and they would review every wl ppl’s app material once there was a spot open. so we are not necessarily going to wait until may 13 to know the decision

I got into West and am also from Chicago. Can anyone post the link to the fb group; I can’t find it?

[Login | Facebook](<a href=“Facebook Public Group | Facebook”>Facebook Public Group | Facebook)

^^that’s the link to the fb group

It’s between now and may 13… I wonder how long the waitlist is?

that’s the question she did not answer me… seems like they keep the wl number confidential
I assume it is not going to be very long, since it would take them too much time to view everybody’s application material again and again

Was anyone outright rejected from the program? Because everyone here seems to have been accepted or waitlisted…

I have no clue… maybe the people who got rejected don’t feel like posting. That would be a really long wait list. 100 applicants per wait list O.O

Does anybody have any idea around how many waitlist people finally got admitted last year? I was reading last year’s thread briefly and did not see many.

I imagine it’s highly variable depending on the number of those 120 who decline their invitations…

Some people who applied to LBW also applied to other program(s) and will debate which program to attend. If they decide to attend the other program(s) then hopefully a slot will open up for someone on the wait list >.<

Did anyone get hear back about the WSBA (Wharton Sports Business Academy) decisions yet?

just got an email from Carrie Kayser saying that she cannot provide the number of waitlist students cuz the deadline for responding is Friday.

Those who are on waitlist can also think of applying to WSBA (wharton sports business academy). It’s a new program, so there is not much awareness about it. They are still accepting new applications.
